The run was held Saturday June 19th 2010 on Shelter Island. It was the 31st Shelter Island Run. It was a fundraiser for Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch East end Hospice, and the Shelter Island community fund. The feature runners were Olympic Gold Medalist Joan Benoit Samuelson and four time N Y Marathon winner Bill Rodgers. About 1600 runner were in attendance.

There was also a 5k fun walk for the community. The event receives a lot of local support, the residents of Shelter Island sat outside and cheered the runners on.
