Have You Heard the Call to Serve Children?
Families at Mid-Western live the song we often sing:
“Give me the heart of a servant
Tender and faithful and true
Fill me with love and use me O Lord’
So that the world can see you”
Represented in this calling is a desire to not be seen by this world, but to have God seen through their acts of service.
James talks of the diference between faith and works and concludes the matter by saying waht “I will show you my faith by what I do.” (James 2:18). Upon searching out this call to love and care for children our house parents show their faith by moving in and getting to work.
Over the past few weeks Mid-Western has had to turn away children that would have been blessed by the services of a loving family, if only house parents were in place. Have you heard the call? Do you know someone that seems called to such a role? Our ministry is not as God intended without the service of this family!
