Colorado Christian Services is in Search of an Adoptive Family
In search of an adoptive family
We have been working with a birth mother for approximately three weeks. She came to Colorado Christian Services (CCS) through a pregnancy center in Denver. There are several unique circumstances surrounding this case.
This birthmother is a 37 y/o African American who has reportedly previously placed 6 children for adoption (not through CCS). She is homeless and is currently parenting one child and is seeking an adoptive family for her unborn baby. She is due December 13, 2009. The birthmother reports that she is adopted and therefore has limited social/medical information about herself. She has a diagnosis of Hepatitis C and Bipolar Disorder and a history of Attention Deficit Disorder and Dyslexia. Although a very serious illness, the birthmother reports that to her knowledge none of her children have been diagnosed with Hepatitis C (unconfirmed). The birthmother reports that she used tobacco during her first month of pregnancy. She further reports that she has taken the following medications during her pregnancy: Ranitidine, Trazadone, Abilify and Tylenol P.M. She reports an emergency room visit during this pregnancy due to dehydration. The birth father is reportedly her husband and is supportive of her plan of adoption. She has reportedly received prenatal care throughout her pregnancy and is on Medicaid. The baby will be full African American.
Please submit any interested adoptive family profiles to Christine Crabb (Colorado Christian Services Senior Caseworker). Christine’s contact info: 303-761-7236 christine@christianservices.org. All profiles of interested families will be shown to the birthmother so that she may choose her family.
