The 8th Annual Ladies Spring Benefit Luncheon ”How Sweet It Is” will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. and will include lunch, a silent auction and program. The Columbine Country Club, 17 Fairway Lane, Littleton, is the location for the event. Christian Relief Fund Helping Victims in Haiti

Let me tell you what is happening through CRF in Haiti because of your generosity. First of all, we have been bringing in food from two sources to two places in Port-au-Prince. We had a feeding program and children’s work there before the earthquake which was overseen by Roberta Edwards. CRF has been funding a delivery of food, water, and medicine from the Dominican Republic approximately every other day. This has been done in partnership with Manna International ministries that has also coordinated medical teams in our work there. In addition some of the children who were previously supported by our works in the Dominican Republic have now grown up and are overseeing deliveries of food and water to another church and feeding program there. It is so rewarding to see the children of CRF who have been helped for so many years now helping others. We also have works in the northern part of Haiti. Our work in Cap-Hatian has been distributing food to Port-au-Prince. And now thousands of refugees are arriving in Cap-Hatian because of the devastation in the southern area. We have also started feeding programs for the evacuees there. The government has provided housing in a really large gym, and we are distributing food there. Huge rains are about to come to Haiti that are going to cause other problems. We have been told that more people could die from a lack of clean water than the earthquake. Therefore, we are partnering with Global Samaritan Ministries and bringing in water purification systems. We also are bringing in around 7000 tents this week to provide shelter before the rains arrive. We have some other works going there, but I just wanted to give you a taste of what we are doing. Thanks for your support. It is helping. This tragedy will last for a long time, and we plan on helping for the long haul. You can be sure that any future help that you give will be used frugally and provide real help. You are making a difference with the lost and the least! Tennessee Children’s Home Job Openings

Administrative Assistant: The West TN campus school is seeking an Administrative Assistant with previous office experience.
Teacher: Both the West TN and the Spring Hill campuses have immediate openings for Teachers. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and be certified to teach in Tennessee through Grade 12. Previous experience teaching at-risk youth is preferred.
Houseparents: The West TN campus is recruiting a married couple to begin work immediately. This live-in position requires working two full weeks on with every third week off duty. Previous adolescent childcare experience is required.
Executive Assistant: The Corporate Office in Spring Hill is seeking a qualified assistant for the President’s Office beginning June 2010. Senior-level administrative experience is required and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Houseparent Supervisor: The West TN campus has a live-in position. A Bachelor’s degree and several years of supervisory experience is required as well as previous experience working in residential childcare.
