Fall Festival at Children’s Home of Lubbock – September 17, 2011

The Annual Fall Festival is held on the campus of The Children’s Home of Lubbock each September. In addition to being a fund-raiser, this event serves as an opportunity for our friends and supporters to enjoy our beautiful campus and get to know students and staff.
The 2011 Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, September 17. Festivities begin with the Parade at 10:30 a.m. and activities will last until around 3pm.
Features include inflatable games, and horse-drawn carriages from Leon and Greg Pinkert. There will be a barbeque meal (lovingly served-up by Gus and Phyllis Menendez), our children’s parade (hayride, carriage, train, tractor, bicycles, floats, fire engine and other interesting vehicles), a wonderful silent auction and bake sale.
Live entertainment will be provided by
Lone Prairie and Gary Moyers.
Children will enjoy the rides and inflatable games…and the parade is expected to be, as always, a BIG hit. Adults will especially enjoy the silent auction benefiting the Home.
One of the highlights of the day will be the auctioning of several home-made pies, this year made with delicious ‘children’s home’ pecans. Mmmm, those pies are good!
We sincerely appreciate the important sponsors of the 2010 Fall Festival…
