Children’s Homes Begins “Change For Children” – With A New Change
New fall event added!
For many years, the first Sunday in May has served as the official start of our Change for Children campaign. This Sunday (May 2) is the first Sunday of May, and we want to use it to bring attention to our Change for Children campaign and a change to it that we think you’ll like!
As a way to encourage families to think of Change for Children as something they can do together, Children’s Homes will host an event for children and families on Saturday, October 23.*
This event will be held on our main campus in Paragould, and it will be a kid-focused Saturday of fun. The centerpiece of the day will be the opportunity for children to bring their coinbanks in, open them up, and use a coin-counting machine to count the change they’ve collected. They’ll have the fun of opening their banks and watching the machine do its work, and they’ll go home knowing the exact amount they worked so hard to collect for kids in need.
Better still, they’ll get to spend the day with many of those kids, as our campus will be open to provide games, activities and all sorts of fun for our guests! It’ll be a great way to wrap up our Change for Children campaign, and for parents and their children to celebrate their participation in a project that teaches the values of both saving and giving!
