The 2011 Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at LakeRidge Country Club — a fun way for individuals and busnesses to give back to the community and help ensure that local children continue to find a safe place at The Children’s Home of Lubbock.
Not only does this tournament give local golfers the opportunity to rub shoulders with golf professional Bobby Wilson (Long Drive Hall of Fame and previous Long Drive Champion) but it also offers many prize possibilities for teams and individuals. Bobby will again conduct a clinic and offer his drive for team play at a designated hole.
The money raised by The Children’s Home of Lubbock’s Annual Golf Tournament goes toward the purchase of new vans for transporting children to school, doctor appointments, after-school activities, shopping expeditions and church functions. With an average of eight children in each cottage, you can imagine what a beating our vehicles take each year!
