CCFSA Top Events For 2009

 

At the end of the year we often see top events listed in the news, sports and entertainment.  Today, as the year ends I wanted to post the top events for CCFSA: 

1-  Several celebrated milestones: 

100 years – Tennessee Children’s Home

85 years – Tipton Home

50 years- Manuelito Navajo Children’s Home

50 years – Cherokee Home for Children

35 years – Christian Family Services (St. Louis)

30 years – Christian Family Services (Gainesville)                                                                                                             

2.  New CCFSA Web site is launched in April.

3.  Potter Children’s Home completes triplex.

4.  Medina Children’s Home and Boles Children’s Home consolidate and form Arms of Hope.

5.  Carpenter Place opened new “Mom Bolin Home”.

6.  Agape Villages recognized as “non-profit organization of the year” by Manteca Chamber of Commerce.

7.  “Sing A Song” was theme of 2009 CCFSA Conference in Nashville.

8.  Memphis Agape’s “Heartlight” raised over $300,00.00 and included Mayor A.C. Wharton and his wife Ruby as guests.

9.  Tennessee Children’s Home opened Children’s Home in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on October 1, 2009.

10. Children’s Home of Lubbock finalized 30 adoptions in 2009.
