CCFSA Board Has Annual Meeting

The 2010 CCFSA Board met in Oklahoma City February 1 and 2.  They discussed the strategic plan, webinars for 2010 and the conference which will be held in OKC in 2011.

God  has allowed TCH to help brothers and sisters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil to realize a dream they have had for twenty years. That dream was to start a Children’s Home to serve some of the homeless and needy children of their city. The first house,  has been completed; and is serving children.

Children’s Home in Belo Horizonte, Brazil Opens October 1, 2009

Last year Tennessee Children’s Home began plans to open a home in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.  That home began  operating October 1, 2009.  They had six children within one week.  Four are infants less than 3 months old.  They also have a 3 year old girl and 6 year old boy.

Harold Shank, National Spokesperson for Christian Child and Family Services Association, opens the annual conference at the Marriott in Franklin, Tennessee.  The conference began October 9, 2009 and will conclude at noon on Monday, October 12th.  Tennessee Children’s Home, which is celebrating their 100 year Anniversary, is the host of this year’s conference.

Agape Villages Receives Honor!

Agape Villages recently received recognition from the Manteca Chamber of Commerce as “Non-Profit Organization of the Year.”  This recognizes Agape Villages for their important work and the quality of the services provided to the community.  This award was recognized in both the California State Assembly and the State Senate.
