“Extraordinary.”
“Outstanding opportunities.
As Executive Director Ralph Richardson of Hope Harbor Children’s Home and Academy, in Claremore, Oklahoma, put it, “”CCFSA has been an extraordinary benefit to Hope Harbor. Through CCFSA we have access to outstanding networking and training opportunities. These have helped us be aware of, not only issues facing children and families in residential care, but also strategies employed by others making a real, and lasting difference in the lives of the children we serve.
Key to these “outstanding opportunities” are the annual conferences. Ralph noted, “At the last conference I was able to meet with colleagues possessing both vast experience and great expertise, and hear presentations on topics important to our work.”
Part of the national conference is two addresses by the national spokesperson for Christian childcare. Ralph stressed those opportunities:
“The National Spokesman, Harold Shank, has enabled us to increase the visibility of the needs of children and families, and the work being done to meet those needs. He has encouraged us to examine our focus on the future, and inspired us through his messages.”
