“CCFSA is a great place to rub shoulders”
During fifty years of passionate experience in child care services, Floyd Stumbo, of Lubbock, Texas, relied on CCFSA as a vehicle for interchanging ideas. For him, rubbing shoulders with those facing similar situations could only be done at CCFSA conferences. He recalls many a lively discussion over a good cup of coffee.
Floyd presented at the 2008 conference in Kansas City. It provided another opportunity to listen to the key happenings in child care services. ”It helps to realize that you are not alone in what you are doing.”
Floyd notes that responding to the needs of children with new and better programs is not an easy task, so CCFSA is even more essential now that there is so much more competition for the funding to support the mission.
Floyd has a strong passion for the work and points out that it is not possible to put together a strong dynamic organization without being involved with others in Christian child care organizations, and points out that CCFSA’s National Spokesman, Harold Shank, brings such a strong inspiration through his compassion for this work for children, and his high respect for all serving as child care providers.
