2012 Conference
Refreshing Our Vision of Service

Plan to come to the 2012 CCFSA conference, April 15-18, 2012 at the Westin Atlanta North in Atlanta, Georgia

David Jordan says CCFSA helps him be a better leader

“CCFSA helps me be a better leader.”

David Jordan, Executive Director of Agape Child and Family Services in Memphis, Tennessee, claims that much of the successful growth and effectiveness of Agape in Memphis can be attributed to the supporting resources available through CCFSA.

David said, “CCFSA is one way that God has provided for him in this leadership role.”

At every conference he attends there is something valuable in every part of the conference, but he always finds the “pearl.” That “pearl” is the camaraderie of his peers.

”I have few places,” commented David, “to be with Christian peers and have these kinds of conversations, with people who live and work in the same realm of life as me.”

Additionally David is good friends with the CCFSA national spokesman, Harold Shank.   David notes, “It is Harold who is responsible for shaping my theology for the poor.  We worked together to launch Families in Touch (F.I.T.) ministry to homeless, pregnant women and their families.”

Another key factor with CCFSA is the web site.   David uses the CCFSA website to find personnel to fill especially critical positions at Memphis Agape.

”CCFSA is a great way to join with others, in the name of Jesus to serve, care for, and bring the kingdom of God to children and families,” states David Jordan, “they also provide an organizational structure to bring many of us together through the conferences, as well as throughout the year for purpose.”
